- விளக்கம்
- அடக்கம் என்பது மனம், சொல், செயல் ஆகிய மூன்றையும் நெறி தவறாமல் கட்டுப்படுத்தி வாழ்வது. இத்தகைய அடக்கம் ஒருவனை இறப்பில்லாத வானவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து வாழும் உயர்நிலைக்குக் கொண்டு செல்லும். அடங்காமையோ அவனை விலக்க முடியாத கடும் இருளாகிய துன்ப நிலையில் தள்ளிவிடும். தன்னைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தத் தெரிந்தவன் உயர்கிறான்; தெரியாதவன் தானே தன் வீழ்ச்சிக்குக் காரணமாகிறான்.
