- தன் ஆட்சியும் செல்வமும் நீண்ட காலம் நிலைக்க வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பும் அரசன், தண்டிக்கும் கோலை வேகமாக ஓங்க வேண்டும்; ஆனால் மெதுவாகவே அடிக்க வேண்டும். அதாவது வெளியே கண்டிப்புடன் தோன்றினாலும், உண்மையில் ஒறுக்கும்போது மென்மையைக் கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டும். பெற்றோரும் ஆசிரியரும் கண்டிப்பைக் காட்டினாலும் கடுமையாக நடந்துகொள்ளாமல் இருப்பதே நல்லது.
