- கண்ணுக்கு அழகு தரும் அணிகலன் கண்ணோட்டம் என்னும் கனிவான பார்வையே. அந்தக் கனிவு இல்லாவிட்டால், அந்தக் கண்கள் முகத்தில் உள்ள இரண்டு புண்களாகவே கருதப்படும். அழகான கண் என்பது வடிவத்தால் அல்ல, அதில் தெரியும் அன்பாலும் இரக்கத்தாலுமே அமைகிறது என்பதை இக்குறள் உணர்த்துகிறது.
