- ஊழிக்காலத்தில் கடலே கரை கடந்து பொங்கி உலகம் தலைகீழாக மாறினாலும், சான்றாண்மை என்னும் கடலுக்குக் கரை போன்றவர்கள் என்று போற்றப்படும் பெரியோர் தம் நிலையிலிருந்து மாற மாட்டார்கள். எத்தகைய பெருமாற்றம் வந்தாலும் அவர்களுடைய நல்ல பண்பு அசையாமல் நிற்கும். சூழ்நிலை மாறும்போது கொள்கையை மாற்றாத உறுதியே உண்மையான பெருமை.
