Police in Chennai have arrested a 48-year-old security guard on allegations of sexually harassing a schoolboy near Chennai Central railway station.
The accused, identified as Paul Alexander from Tuticorin, was working as a security guard with Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL), police said.
The Vepery all-women police station registered the case based on a complaint about an incident reported in the vicinity of the railway terminus.
Following the arrest, the man was produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.
Police did not disclose details that could identify the victim, in line with Supreme Court directions in sexual assault-related cases.
