Alliance seat-sharing discussions ahead of the Tamil Nadu polls are expected to see the DMK hold firm on the number of constituencies it is willing to allocate to the Congress.
According to a report carried by Mathrubhumi English, the DMK is reluctant to go beyond 25 seats for the Congress as negotiations take shape.
The development indicates that the DMK is looking to keep the Congress’ share within a defined limit while finalising the broader alliance arrangement.
Further details on the talks, including the final seat-sharing formula and timelines, are yet to be made public.
