Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Saturday (March 1, 2026) inaugurated a new building at the Institute of Social Obstetrics and Government Kasturba Gandhi Hospital for Women and Children campus in Chepauk.
The new block has been built at a cost of ₹32.32 crore.
Officials said the facility has a total built-up area of 66,658 square feet, with a ground floor and two upper floors.
The building is equipped with 100 beds, aimed at strengthening services at the women and children’s hospital campus.
