Israel launched a series of strikes in Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah positions in Beirut’s southern suburbs, according to reports. At least 31 people were killed in the attacks.

The escalation follows earlier attacks on Iran, which the report said were carried out by Israel in coordination with the United States. It claimed that several Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the defence minister, were killed.

In response, Hezbollah members based in Lebanon reportedly carried out attacks against Israel. Israel then intensified airstrikes on Lebanon as retaliation.

The latest strikes were concentrated in the southern suburban areas of Beirut, where Israeli forces carried out repeated attacks, the report said. Casualty figures were reported as 31 dead.
