Dubai’s main airports have suspended operations and halted flight movements after several countries temporarily closed their airspace as a security measure, according to reports.

The disruption follows retaliatory strikes by Iran on US military bases in West Asia, prompting heightened precautions across the region. As a result, air traffic at key airports in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah has been fully stopped until further notice.

Authorities have said all arrivals and departures are on hold and advised passengers not to travel to airports. However, checks on major airline and travel-booking websites in India showed that online reservations to Dubai are still being accepted on many platforms.

Among the sites reviewed, only Qatar Airways displayed a message indicating tickets were currently unavailable, while other airlines and travel portals continued to allow bookings, with some listings showing fares lower than usual.

Officials cautioned that even if bookings go through, actual departures will depend on the reopening of airspace. Travellers have been advised to closely monitor official airline communications and airport advisories.
