The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has officially confirmed that Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility has been damaged amid the ongoing war.
The conflict, involving the United States and Israel against Iran, has entered its fourth day. After a 10-hour pause, Iran resumed its strikes, while US and Israeli forces have continued their attacks.
With fighting intensifying, the IAEA said the Natanz site—one of Iran’s key nuclear facilities—was hit in strikes attributed to US-Israeli forces. The agency has now stated that the facility sustained damage.
According to the IAEA, recent satellite images indicate that buildings on the surface above the underground Natanz complex were damaged. The agency added that it has not detected any radiation release, and no additional safety concerns have been identified so far.
