New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions with leaders of Oman and Kuwait on the welfare and safety of Indians in the Gulf region.
Tensions have risen across Gulf countries following attacks on Iran by Israel and the United States. The Union government has begun efforts to bring back Indians who are stranded in the region safely.
In this backdrop, Modi spoke by phone with Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
The Prime Minister expressed concern over the attacks and thanked the two countries for the steps being taken to ensure the well-being and security of Indians residing there.
