The US Embassy in Kuwait has been closed following a drone attack linked to Iran, as the conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel continues to intensify.

The escalation comes days after the US and Israel began joint strikes against Iran, heightening tensions across West Asia. With ongoing exchanges of fire and attacks, Washington has moved to evacuate officials from diplomatic missions in the region.

US missions in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were reported to have faced drone attacks, prompting the shutdown of the Kuwait embassy.

Iran has reported that 787 people have been killed so far in strikes carried out jointly by the US and Israel. Separately, Lebanon’s health ministry said Israeli attacks killed 52 people and injured 154.

Iran’s attacks also left 16 people injured in Qatar. The US State Department said embassy personnel in Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates are facing continued threats from Iranian drones and missile attacks.
