A meeting of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) office-bearers has been planned near Thanjavur, where party leader Vijay is expected to address the gathering.
According to TVK organisers, the event is scheduled at the Ayyasamy Patti junction road area on the outskirts of Thanjavur, from 10 am to 3 pm.
The organisers said they submitted an application seeking permission to the Thanjavur district Superintendent of Police on February 28. Following this, police raised 32 queries, including the expected crowd size, security arrangements for participants, and basic facilities to be provided.
However, TVK organisers had not submitted answers to the questions until Monday, as per the report. While the party claimed police had given oral approval and proceeded with preparations, the lack of written replies has led to uncertainty among party members on whether the meeting will take place as planned.
