Chennai meeting
Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman said both the DMK and the AIADMK should be “abolished” from Tamil Nadu politics. He was speaking at a Chennai zone candidates’ introduction meeting held in Saidapet.
Contesting alone
Seeman said NTK is contesting alone for the fifth time, despite losing in four previous elections. He claimed his party would win without alliances and argued that politics in the state has been reduced to freebies rather than public issues.
Allegations on money power
He alleged that caste, religion, money and liquor decide electoral outcomes, and claimed that leaders like Chief Minister M K Stalin and AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami could not secure votes without distributing cash. He also referred to people protesting over whether cash was given in one street and not in another.
Criticism of parties and governance
Seeman accused the DMK and BJP of acting together, and questioned attempts to portray the Congress as an alternative, citing the Katchatheevu-related decision as an example. He said a change in the system of governance is needed and claimed that when injustice and oppression increase, people would turn to him.
