Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday said he had successfully concluded the alliance agreement after holding discussions with partner parties till late into the night.
Speaking at the wedding function at Minister Mahesh’s residence in Thanjavur, Stalin said the agreement had been finalised in a manner that would be appreciated by all.
Referring to a hand gesture made while getting into his car after the talks, the Chief Minister said it was not planned. He noted that the gesture had gone viral on social media and was being shared as if it signalled “all finished”, adding that it was a natural expression of happiness after the deal.
Stalin also said four Rajya Sabha candidates—two from his party and two from alliance parties—were set to file their nominations on Thursday, the last day for filing. He said he would leave quickly after attending the wedding due to the schedule.
A video of his speech at the event was streamed live on Dinamalar’s YouTube and other online platforms.
