The Indian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has advised Indian nationals living in the country to remain cautious, stay calm and follow instructions issued by local authorities, citing the prevailing situation in the UAE and the wider region.
The embassy said airspace closures have led to a temporary suspension of regular flight services. However, special flights operated by Indian and UAE carriers have received permission and are running with safety measures in place. Travellers were asked to check with their respective airlines for updates.
The UAE government has also announced a waiver of overstay fines for those whose visas expired and who have been unable to depart after February 28 due to the current conditions. The waiver has been extended to others who could not return for related reasons as well.
Consular services, including visa, passport and other assistance, are continuing as usual at the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate office in Dubai.
For queries and complaints, Indians in the UAE can contact the 24x7 helpline at 800-46342, reach out via WhatsApp at +971 543090571, or email [email protected] and [email protected]. The embassy said it will continue to issue updates through its website and social media channels.
