Actor Vijay’s wife Sangeeta has filed a new petition before the Chengalpattu Family Welfare Court, seeking permission to stay at Vijay’s residence in Neelankarai, Chennai, until their divorce proceedings are concluded.
Sangeeta has already moved the Chengalpattu court seeking annulment of their 1999 marriage. With the case pending, she has now filed an interlocutory application requesting an interim order allowing her to reside in the Neelankarai house.
In her petition, she said she holds British citizenship and currently does not have a house to live in, and therefore sought permission to stay at the Neelankarai residence.
She also alleged that Vijay, through lawyers, threatened that she would not be allowed to live in the Neelankarai house if she approached the court regarding the divorce. She argued that granting interim permission would not cause any prejudice to Vijay.
