Sheikh Mohammed Kabeesudeen (29), an office assistant at the Ramanathapuram Superintendent of Police (SP) office, has secured the 485th rank in the All India Civil Services examination results announced recently.
A native of Sikkal village in Ramanathapuram district, he is the son of Shegu Abdul Khader and Sharmila Banu. He completed his Class 12 at Syed Ammal Higher Secondary School in Ramanathapuram and later pursued higher studies at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai.
While continuing his job at the SP office, Kabeesudeen prepared for the Civil Services for seven years. He said he reached the interview stage four times before achieving this rank.
Expressing happiness over the result, he said he is hopeful of getting either the Indian Forest Service (IFS) or the Indian Police Service (IPS). He also noted that his daughter was born last month and described the success as a fortunate moment for his family.
