Chennai: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) election campaign management committee general secretary Adhav Arjuna on Sunday indicated that actor-politician Vijay could contest the upcoming election from North Chennai.
Speaking at a Women’s Day event held in Chennai, Arjuna said Vijay is likely to stand from either the Villivakkam or Perambur constituency.
He launched a sharp attack on the DMK, alleging that if the party returns to power, public safety—especially for women—would worsen. He also accused Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of ignoring such issues.
Arjuna criticised the DMK’s alliance with the Congress, saying it was not a secular alliance and branding it a “loot-box alliance.” He further claimed that after the election is announced, Vijay’s street-level campaign would reveal a surge of public support.
