Washington: US President Donald Trump said the question of when the war with Iran will end will be decided through consultations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The conflict, launched by the US and Israel against Iran, continued for a 10th day. With a previous war in June last year lasting 12 days, concerns have been raised over whether the current fighting could stretch longer.

Speaking on the issue, Trump alleged that Iran was seeking to destroy Israel and other countries in the region, and said the US and Israel had acted together to prevent it.

He also claimed that without him and Netanyahu, Iran would have destroyed Israel. Trump said the final decision on ending the war would be taken keeping regional security and US interests in mind, and that he has been speaking with Netanyahu on the matter.
