Reports have surfaced again claiming that actor-politician Vijay’s party, TVK, could join the AIADMK-BJP alliance. A section within the AIADMK says the speculation is not new.
According to those leaders, similar alliance chatter has emerged at moments when Vijay faced political or personal difficulties. They point to earlier instances when such reports circulated around a public meeting in Karur and during controversy linked to the film Jananayagan and its censor clearance.
Now, they say the same narrative has returned amid a situation in which the CBI has reportedly issued Vijay another summons.
The AIADMK sources quoted in the report allege that the alliance talk is a calculated move to shield himself from pressure, and that the information is being put out deliberately. However, people said to know Vijay well insist he will not ultimately join the AIADMK-BJP alliance.
