Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Tiruchirappalli on Tuesday, where he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple development projects valued at Rs 5,650 crore.
According to the programme, the Prime Minister will arrive from Kerala at around 5.45 pm and take part in an official event in Tiruchirappalli. The projects span energy infrastructure, roads and rail services.
He will lay the foundation stone for a Bharat Petroleum Corporation project to supply natural gas through a pipeline network in the Nilgiris and Erode districts, with an investment of Rs 3,680 crore. He will also dedicate to the nation an IndianOil crude oil blending unit set up at Manali near Chennai at a cost of Rs 1,490 crore.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Modi will inaugurate 89 rural roads covering 370 km in Tamil Nadu. He will also lay the foundation stone for a green bypass on National Highway 81 near Gangaikonda Cholapuram.
In addition, the Prime Minister will flag off two Amrit Bharat express trains, two express trains and one passenger train service. Later, at around 6.30 pm, he is set to address an NDA public meeting in Tiruchirappalli, where he is expected to share his views on the political situation in the state, as reflected in his post on X.
