Washington: US President Donald Trump has said the conflict involving Iran could end soon, claiming there is little left to destroy in the country.
The United States and Israel have been carrying out strikes on Iran for the past 12 days, according to the report. In response, Iran has blocked the sea route through the Strait of Hormuz, a key passage for crude oil shipments.
Speaking in an interview to a US news agency on Tuesday, Trump said there was “not much” left to be destroyed in Iran, adding that only small remnants might remain.
He also said he could stop the fighting “at any time,” indicating the war could be brought to an end quickly.
