A simple rasmalai-style dessert can be prepared at home using bread slices, making it an easy option for kids who enjoy sweet treats.
Ingredients: Bread – 4 slices; grated paneer – 1/2 cup; milk powder – 1/2 cup; powdered sugar – 8 spoons; boiled and cooled milk – 1/2 cup; yellow food colour – a pinch; fresh cream – 2 spoons; dry fruits – 2 spoons.
Preparation: Trim the edges of the bread slices, cut them into small pieces and grind them in a mixer to a fine texture.
In a bowl, combine paneer, milk powder and powdered sugar, and knead well like chapati dough. Shape the mixture into small balls.
In another bowl, mix milk, milk powder, powdered sugar and a pinch of yellow food colour, then add fresh cream. Arrange the prepared balls in a wide dish, pour the milk mixture over them, garnish with dry fruits, cover and rest for two hours to set.
