Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman is set to file his nomination for the Karaikudi Assembly constituency on March 30, according to party sources.
The party is contesting the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Assembly elections on its own. Seeman has already announced NTK candidates for both states, and he will be the party’s candidate in Karaikudi.
Polling in Puducherry is scheduled for April 9. In the 2021 Assembly election, NTK contested 28 of the Union Territory’s 30 seats, skipping Yanam and Mahe, and finished fourth with 3.37% vote share. In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the party secured third place in Puducherry with 4.90% votes.
To campaign for NTK candidates contesting 28 constituencies in Puducherry, Seeman will undertake a two-day campaign on March 20 and 21.
Tamil Nadu goes to polls on April 23. The report said Seeman will begin his Tamil Nadu election campaign from Kanniyakumari.
