Chennai: Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran said a change of government will take place in the state after the Assembly elections and that justice will be delivered in the case of the Class 12 student who was killed in Vilathikulam, Thoothukudi district.
In a statement, he said he met the bereaved family in person and offered condolences. He also said the BJP provided financial assistance for the education of the deceased student’s sister.
Nagendran alleged that law and order has deteriorated under the DMK government and said the family’s grief had left a lasting impact on him.
He further claimed that despite several days having passed since the crime, and even after public protests demanding justice, the authorities have not identified even a single accused in the case. He reiterated that justice would be ensured after the elections and a change in administration.
