Four agricultural land parcels in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district, linked to the family of underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim, have been sold in an auction conducted by the Central government.

Officials said the properties are located in Mumbake village and were recorded in the name of Dawood Ibrahim’s mother, Amina Beevi. The assets were earlier attached by the Centre following the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, in which 257 people were killed and around 700 injured.

The government had attempted to auction these lands in 2017, 2020, 2024 and 2025, but the sale did not go through for various reasons. In November, the reserve value was reduced by 30% to facilitate disposal.

The latest auction was held under the Smugglers and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act (SAFEMA). One plot with a reserve price of Rs 9.41 lakh drew two bidders from Mumbai and Ratnagiri, and was sold for Rs 10 lakh to a Mumbai bidder.

The remaining three plots were sold for Rs 2.33 lakh, Rs 8.08 lakh and Rs 15,440, with the successful bidders also from Mumbai. The buyers are required to pay the amount by April, after which the land will be transferred to them, completing the auction of all Dawood-linked lands mentioned in the report.
