AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) on Wednesday said he would disclose the purpose of his Delhi visit “tomorrow”, responding to questions from reporters at the airport.

Tamil Nadu is set to vote in the Assembly election on April 23, with parties engaged in seat-sharing negotiations and candidate selection. While the DMK-led alliance is said to have nearly completed its seat allocation, the AIADMK-led front has not finalised arrangements with partners including the BJP, PMK, AMMK and TMC.

EPS travelled to Delhi on March 19 amid the heightened political activity. When asked whom he would meet and why he was travelling during the election period, he reiterated that he would share details the next day.

He also said he had sought an appointment to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Delhi-based sources said meetings with Amit Shah and BJP leader Nitin Nabin were expected later on Wednesday night as part of efforts to finalise seats for the BJP.
