Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman on Wednesday released the party’s election manifesto ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly election, during a press meet in Chennai.

A key promise in the manifesto is the creation of five capitals for Tamil Nadu—Chennai, Tiruchirappalli, Coimbatore, Madurai and Kanyakumari—with distinct roles. Chennai is proposed as the technology capital, Tiruchirappalli as the administrative capital, Coimbatore as the industry and business capital, Madurai as the language, arts and culture capital, and Kanyakumari as the philosophy capital.

The manifesto also lists political and administrative demands, including securing separate constituencies for women in the Assembly and Parliament, and urging the Centre to restructure parliamentary constituencies so that one Lok Sabha seat corresponds to three Assembly segments.

Other proposals include amending the Constitution to enable direct election of the President by the people, taking over administration of trains operating within states through constitutional changes, closing liquor shops in phases within a year, cancelling students’ education loans, and making voting compulsory in elections. It also proposes ending caste-based reservation and prioritising Tamil communities in reservation policy.
