Chennai: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday said the DMK’s manifesto for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election will be released soon, built around the “Tamil Nadu 2030” vision plan and with additional features aimed at executing it effectively.

In a statement, Stalin said the DMK’s manifesto has consistently earned public trust, and asked party members to continuously take to people the achievements of the “Dravidian model” government between 2021 and 2026, along with the benefits delivered to families across the state.

Stalin also framed the coming election as a contest of “Tamil Nadu versus Delhi”, alleging that key decisions are being driven from the national capital. He questioned the purpose of the opposition leader’s presence in Delhi, arguing it was not to secure funds due to Tamil Nadu, push stalled projects, protect state rights, or address issues such as LPG cylinder shortages.

Warning against what he called “Delhi’s dominance”, Stalin said people would not allow Tamil Nadu to be controlled by those who seek approval from Delhi even to face elections. He asserted that the DMK-led secular progressive alliance has the strength to protect the state’s rights and take Tamil Nadu on a path of development, and expressed confidence of winning by taking the message to voters.
