Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran on Friday clarified why Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s scheduled visit to the state was postponed.

Responding to reporters in Chennai, Nagendran said there was “no specific reason” behind the change in plan. He stated that Goyal has a meeting with the Prime Minister, which led to the deferment.

Nagendran added that the Union Minister could still arrive in Tamil Nadu either on Friday night or the following day.

When asked whether the postponement indicated any confusion within the NDA alliance, Nagendran rejected the suggestion. He said alliance leaders had travelled to Delhi and insisted there were no issues, adding that matters would be discussed once the minister visits.
