Tehran: Iranian media have reported that Iran has launched missiles toward Israel with stickers carrying anti-war remarks attributed to Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

The Israel-Iran war has continued for 24 days, with tensions rising as Iran is said to have intensified attacks in the Gulf region. Several world leaders have urged an end to the fighting and called for stabilising international crude oil supplies.

European countries, including Spain, have also pressed for a ceasefire. However, reports say both the United States and Iran remain firm in their positions on the continuation of the conflict.

According to the reports, the stickers on the missiles included Sánchez’s photo and a message printed in English and Persian stating that the war is not only illegal but also inhumane, along with a note of thanks to the Spanish leader.

The development comes after Spain reportedly refused a US request to provide the Rota naval base and Morón air base for strikes on Iran. US President Donald Trump had announced cutting trade ties with Spain following the refusal, the reports added.
