A video from China has gone viral after showing seven dogs escaping from a moving truck and later making their way back to their owners by travelling around 17 km together.
The incident was reported from a busy highway in Changchun city in Jilin province. According to the report, the dogs—belonging to different breeds—were allegedly taken and transported in a truck by people linked to a dog meat shop, before the animals managed to escape.
Over the next two days, the dogs reportedly stayed together as they moved along roads. Videos suggest a Corgi led the group, while the others helped a German Shepherd that had been injured during the journey.
The pack included a wounded German Shepherd, a Corgi, Golden Retrievers, Labradors and a Pekingese. A social media user who filmed them said he tried several times to help and move them to safety, but the dogs ignored the attempts and continued forward as a united group until they reached home.
