Kochi: Monalisa Bosle, who became widely known after the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela, has alleged that film director Sanoj Misra sexually harassed her during the making of her first movie.
Speaking to reporters in Kochi, Monalisa said her debut film was The Diary of Manipur and claimed that the director approached her repeatedly with “wrong intentions” during the shoot. She alleged that incidents occurred on multiple occasions in places including Nepal and Dehradun, and said she resisted his advances.
Monalisa said she informed her family at the time, but alleged they did not take the matter seriously because it was her first film and, according to her, money was their priority. She further accused the director of misusing the promise of film opportunities and behaving inappropriately with girls in the industry.
She also claimed that she and her partner have been receiving death threats and said she is afraid to return to her hometown, adding that she wants to continue living in Kerala.
It may be noted that director Sanoj Misra had earlier alleged that Monalisa’s love marriage was “love jihad,” according to the report.
