NTK coordinator Seeman, campaigning in Salem district’s Mettur constituency for party candidate Vidhya Veerappan, criticised the culture of election freebies and said his party would not distribute cash or household appliances.

He said NTK would not offer “Rs 1,000 or Rs 2,000”, refrigerators or washing machines as giveaways. Instead, he claimed the party’s focus would be on creating facilities and opportunities that enable people to purchase such items on their own.

Seeman also spoke about water management, arguing that if rainwater in Tamil Nadu is stored in lakes, ponds and other water bodies instead of flowing into the sea, the state would not need to depend on others for water.

He said education, healthcare and safe drinking water should be provided free of cost, properly and equally to all. He added that the party’s aim is to ensure government jobs without discrimination between the educated and the uneducated, and to build a society where the label “uneducated” no longer exists.

In his remarks on politics, Seeman said caste-based politics kills equality and fraternity, religion-based politics kills humanity, and money-driven politics erodes cultural ethics, adding that language and ethnicity should be the basis of politics.
