Rama Navami celebrations began in a festive atmosphere on March 27 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. From 3.30 am during the Brahma Muhurta, devotees queued up for darshan at the Ram temple.
During the rituals, sunlight reportedly fell directly on the idol of Sri Ram, appearing like a radiant tilak on the forehead. The sight left devotees visibly moved and filled the temple with excitement.
The moment was described as a ‘Surya Tilak’ during the Janma Aarti, with the sun’s rays shining on Ram Lalla’s forehead. Large numbers of devotees witnessed the scene during darshan.
The Sri Ram Janmotsav celebrations were also telecast on big screens across Ayodhya. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had made special arrangements at the temple for the occasion.
