Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M.K. Stalin will kick off the party’s Assembly election campaign on April 2 from Tiruvarur, according to party plans.
Stalin has announced that the DMK will contest 175 constituencies under its ‘Rising Sun’ symbol, while the remaining seats will be contested by alliance partners.
As part of the first leg of campaigning for DMK and alliance candidates, he is scheduled to address meetings on April 3 in Jayankondam (morning) and Thiruverumbur (evening). On April 4, he will campaign in Karur (morning) and Tiruppur (evening), followed by Nagercoil (morning) and Tirunelveli (evening) on April 5.
On April 6, Stalin will file his nomination to contest from the Kolathur constituency in Chennai. He is set to continue campaigning across Tamil Nadu until April 21, concluding with travel and outreach in Sriperumbudur in the morning and Kolathur in the evening on the final day of campaigning.
