Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Saturday released the DMK’s list of candidates for the upcoming election, covering 164 constituencies. He made the announcement while speaking to reporters in Chennai.
Stalin said the DMK will contest 164 seats, while alliance parties will contest 11 constituencies using the DMK’s ‘Rising Sun’ symbol. In total, the front will contest 175 seats under the ‘Rising Sun’ symbol and 59 seats under alliance party symbols, he said.
The list includes candidates across several districts. Among those named were Mahesh (Kanniyakumari), Austin (Nagercoil), Appavu (Radhapuram), Abdul Wahab (Palayamkottai), Subramanian (Tirunelveli), and Anita Radhakrishnan (Tiruchendur).
Other candidates announced include Geetha Jeevan (Thoothukudi), Thangam Thennarasu (Tiruchuli), K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran (Aruppukkottai), M.R.K. Panneerselvam (Kurinjipadi), K.N. Nehru (Tiruchirappalli West), Anbil Mahesh (Thiruverumbur), I. Periyasamy (Attur), Senthil Balaji (Coimbatore South), and E.V. Velu (Tiruvannamalai).
