AIADMK has named its candidates to contest against Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election scheduled for April 23.
According to the party’s third-phase candidate list released by AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), Santhanakrishnan will be the party’s nominee in Kolathur, where Chief Minister Stalin is contesting.
In Chepauk–Thiruvallikeni, where Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi is in the fray, AIADMK has fielded Aathirajarama. The report notes that Aathirajarama serves as the South Chennai North (East) district secretary.
With the opposition candidates for the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister now confirmed, the political contest is expected to intensify as parties step up their campaign efforts.
