AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) on March 29 released the party’s third phase list of candidates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections scheduled on April 23.

With seat-sharing talks for the AIADMK-led alliance said to have concluded, the party is set to contest 167 constituencies, excluding seats allotted to its allies. The latest list also spells out several candidates for Chennai constituencies.

Among the key announcements, Por Kodi—wife of late Bahujan Samaj Party leader Armstrong—has been named as the AIADMK candidate from the Thiruvik Nagar constituency.

Other candidates named in this phase include Valarmathi (Aayiram Vilakku), Gokul Indira (Anna Nagar), Aadhirajaram (Chepauk–Thiruvallikeni), Mano (Harbour–Royapuram), Virugai Ravi (Virugambakkam), Sathyanarayanan (Thyagaraya Nagar), Ashok (Velachery), Kandhan (Sholinganallur), Rajesh (Dr Radhakrishnan Nagar), Vijayakumar (Villivakkam), Saravanan (Alandur), Santhana Krishnan (Kolathur), Abhishek Rangasamy (Egmore), and Vimal (Alangudi).

EPS had earlier released a first list featuring 23 star candidates and a second list of 127 candidates, the party noted.
