Chennai: The Communist Party of India (CPI) has announced its candidates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly election under the DMK-led alliance.
With the seat-sharing list for the DMK alliance and its partners already released, alliance parties have begun naming their nominees for the constituencies allotted to them. In this context, the CPI published its list for five constituencies.
According to the announcement, Ramachandran will contest from Thali, while Marimuthu has been named for Thiruthuraipoondi (SC).
The party also named Mahalingam for Srivilliputhur (SC), Ravi for Tiruppur North, and P.L. Sundaram for Bhavanisagar (SC).
