Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy visited the Azhukku Samiyar temple at Vettaikaranpudur near Pollachi in Coimbatore district and took part in a special pooja.
During the worship, he placed a paper listing the names of his NR Congress candidates and the alliance parties’ candidates contesting the Puducherry Assembly election before the deity’s image and prayed.
After sitting in the temple for a few minutes in meditation, Rangasamy left the premises. Speaking briefly to reporters, he said the alliance’s prospects of victory were “bright.”
He did not respond to questions about TVK leader Vijay and walked away in silence. Later, he also visited the Appa Paithiyasamy temple in Puducherry to offer prayers.
