TAVEK chief Vijay on Friday filed an additional affidavit for the Perambur Assembly constituency in Chennai.
Vijay is contesting the upcoming Assembly election from two constituencies—Trichy East and Perambur—and has already submitted nomination papers in both. In his original Perambur affidavit, he had stated that there were no criminal cases against him.
However, his Trichy East nomination documents listed two cases—one linked to campaigning in Perambur on March 30, and another related to a Madurai conference in August 2025. The differing disclosures across the two affidavits triggered controversy.
In the additional affidavit filed in Perambur, Vijay has now included details of the case registered in connection with the 2025 Madurai conference and another case registered during campaigning in Kolathur.
Reports also said a correction was made regarding a difference in age mentioned in the two affidavits.
