DMK has reportedly removed references to Hindi imposition and opposition to NEET from a refreshed version of its election campaign song video, according to party sources.
The party had released the campaign song titled “Let Stalin continue; let Tamil Nadu win” in February as part of its Tamil Nadu Assembly election outreach.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin recently re-released the song with a new look. However, the updated version does not include any lines on Hindi imposition or NEET opposition, which has led to confusion among DMK cadres.
When asked about the change, DMK sources said the earlier video contained lyrics on those issues, but they felt such lines would not be effective in the current situation and could also reduce votes. They said the lyrics were therefore removed before reissuing the video.
