Srinagar: Umar Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief Imam of the All India Imam Organisation, said Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) would “very soon” rejoin India.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Ilyasi said people in PoK want to be part of India and are seeking an opinion poll to reflect public sentiment.
He said residents across the border have been encouraged by Kashmir’s development and prosperity, and pointed to changes after the abrogation of Article 370.
According to him, tourism has increased and the situation among youth has shifted, with students focusing more on education than past street unrest.
