Seeman asks why IT, ED raids never happened at his home

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman, speaking to reporters in Puducherry, questioned why the Income Tax Department and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have not conducted searches at his residence.

Criticism of Centre–state finances

He argued that the Union government’s finances depend on funds contributed by states, and challenged what issues have been resolved when the same alliance is in power at both the Centre and the state.

Claim of having nothing to hide

Seeman said others have amassed wealth and fear action by central agencies, while asserting that no raid has taken place at his home because “there is nothing” there. He also said he was not afraid of cases being filed against him.

Campaign incident and police intervention

During campaigning in the Mettupalayam area of Puducherry in support of an NTK candidate, some people raised slogans in favour of “Thavek”. Seeman, angered by the slogans, used derogatory remarks, leading to a tense situation that was dispersed after police intervened.
