A Dinamalar web story has shared a list of quick, practical tips to make everyday dishes taste better with small ingredient tweaks.

For idli coconut chutney, it suggests grinding in a few mint leaves for added aroma. While preparing vazhaipoo kootu, the cleaned banana flower can be pulsed in a mixer for a couple of rounds to get a fine, crumbly texture.

For throat congestion and cough, the story recommends grinding ginger with a little cumin, pepper and palm jaggery, straining it and drinking the extract. It also notes that bathing in warm water infused with neem, mint and tulsi leaves, along with a small amount of kasturi turmeric, can provide instant freshness.

Among other tips, it says boiling peeled garlic in cow’s milk and drinking it may help improve breast milk secretion. For biryani, adding lemon juice is suggested to keep the rice grains separate.

It also recommends adding grated cheese while making an omelette for better flavour, mixing a little Chicken 65 masala into tomato thokku for a stronger taste, and grinding coriander thuvaiyal with curd to enhance the overall flavour.
