Asset details of several Tamil Nadu ministers who are likely to contest the upcoming election have been published on the Election Commission website, based on the affidavits filed along with their nomination papers.
According to the disclosures, Minister Gandhi ranks first with total assets of Rs 111 crore. He has declared movable assets of Rs 39.55 crore in his name and Rs 19 crore in his wife’s name, and immovable assets of Rs 51 crore in his name and Rs 1.73 crore in his wife’s name.
Minister Durai Murugan is placed second with Rs 72 crore in assets, including movable assets of Rs 4 crore (self) and Rs 14 crore (wife), and immovable assets of Rs 7 crore (self) and Rs 47 crore (wife). Minister TRB Raja ranks third with Rs 71 crore, with assets declared across his name and family members.
The affidavits also list other ministers’ declared assets, including Thiyagarajan (Rs 49 crore), Udhayanidhi (Rs 33 crore), Geetha Jeevan (Rs 27 crore), Saminathan (Rs 28 crore), Periyakaruppan (Rs 26 crore), Raja Kannappan (Rs 25 crore), Raghupathy (Rs 25 crore), EV Velu (Rs 20 crore), Muthusamy (Rs 20 crore), Thangam Thennarasu (Rs 19 crore) and Mahesh (Rs 18 crore).
