Chennai: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Wednesday described actor-politician Vijay as an “immature politician”, saying he does not understand what political maturity means.
Speaking to reporters after releasing a manifesto for the Tamil Nadu Assembly election, Shivakumar said Congress is not aligned with Vijay. He added that, in his view, only the Trinamool Congress might be with Vijay.
Shivakumar reiterated that Congress will stand with the DMK in Tamil Nadu. He also said the DMK-Congress alliance would win with a two-thirds majority.
On broader political issues, he said Congress and the DMK want state parties to remain strong even if there are calls to reduce the number of constituencies. He added that they do not want to destabilise the country and urged unity, alleging that some forces want to divide people.
