Kovilpatti campaign remarks
Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) coordinator Seeman, speaking during election campaigning in Kovilpatti, said he would provide government jobs to everyone, whether educated or uneducated.
In his speech, he contrasted his claim with a range of popular campaign promises, saying voters readily believe offers such as cash payments, tokens, infrastructure projects and gold assistance for marriage.
Seeman argued that when exaggerated promises are made—such as a helicopter for every home or a kilogram of gold for every woman—people laugh, but they still accept other monetary assurances.
He said he was prepared to explain how jobs could be provided, and criticised voters for trusting “those who come and go” while not trusting their own children, calling it the core problem.
